What Happened to Freedom of Speech? Fit Mom Banned from Facebook!

fit mom maria kangThe land of the free and the home of the brave isn’t all so free after all. This is probably what Maria Kang is thinking round about now. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Unfortunately, Maria Kang decided to put her freedom of speech rights to the test when she expressed her opinion about obese women posing in their lingerie within a particular group on Facebook.

Kang continued her rant on her dislike of seeking such obese women proudly taking pictures of themselves wearing their unmentionables and posting them so publicly in a public form. In addition to that Kang is sick and tired of these women blaming others for their reason for being overweight and obese which she feels as though is the problem with adult and childhood obesity. Maria Kang posed the question that after having three children of her own then what is the excuse that those women in that particular group excuse that they refuse to lose weight.

I know what you must be thinking. Several slender women post pictures of themselves in their lingerie on Facebook. Therefore, why is Kang so gung ho on the larger women doing the same? Meanwhile here is my take on the situation at hand. If you are pleased with your body and confident in your body then flaunt it. Who are we to tell you where and what to post on Facebook.

Meanwhile in the mist of all the drama Kang managed to make a statement after being from Facebook that “We need to change this strange mentality we are breeding in the U.S.” Kang wants to highlight people who, she said, make fitness and health a priority. “Start celebrating people who are a result of hard work, dedication and discipline.”Kang wrote another message on her Facebook page about the controversy, saying she didn’t want to shame overweight people but that she believes people are celebrating unhealthy habits.

However, on the other hand if you know that you or someone you know are not as healthy as you or they should be then it is high time to make some serious changes people. Do not let someone like Maria Kang tell you that you are to obese to pose  and post pictures of yourself in your lingerie of which you purchased with your own money onto Facebook or any other social media networks for that matter. The problem with us today in America is that we have become too damn comfortable being miserable, unhappy, unloved, and overweight.

Unfortunately with that said many of you I am certain have tried several weight loss attempts to shed that unwanted weight and you have given up hope thinking that you deserve to continue being overweight and unhappy. Man of you right now today you are hiding behind a mask. You smile outwardly to the world but behind that smile, you are going through damn hell. Therefore, here is my advice to help you that are serious about your health and your weight to help you get started on your way.

However the main thing that I want you to remember is this that  You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great and that if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Therefore, I have listed a couple of tips below to again help you get started well on your way to your weight loss journey.

  • Lose weight for yourself
  • Commit yourself
  • Make a list of reasons why you want to be slimmer
  • Make a list of reasons why you rather continue to be overweight
  • Love yourself
  • Quit the self-criticism
